Shingle Defender™
Shingle Defender™ is a high-performance, shingle durability enhancer with an ATSM G53 rating that slows the aging process of shingles by adding a protective sealant on top of the shingles, resealing the granules and enhancing the ability of the shingle granules to add an extra layer of defense that seals small cracks, reflects UV rays, and improves energy efficiency—all while making your roof more resistant to the elements.

Shingle Defender™ is water resistant and will help bead water faster on your roof and shed water faster off your roof.
Shingle Defender™ defends against granule loss caused by ice dams. Ice dams are a common problem in cold climates and can cause significant damage to roofs. When snow on the roof melts due to poor insulation or heat loss and refreezes at the eaves, ice dams form, trapping water on the roof. This trapped water can seep into the roofing materials, leading to leaks and structural damage. Shingle Defender™ can help prevent the formation of ice dams by creating a water-resistant surface that allows snow and ice to melt and flow off the roof more easily.
Shingle Defender™ helps prevent wind uplift by creating a strong, adhesive membrane that bonds tightly to the existing roof substrate, effectively resisting the lifting force of wind due to its excellent adhesion properties and flexibility.
APPLICATION:
Shingle Defender™ applies with a bluish cast, then dries clear. Can be applied down to 45 degrees F. Surface should be clean/dry/free from debris. Do not apply to wet or moist surfaces. Coverage approximately 1,000 square ft/5 gal pail. Can also be used on non-porous or painted surfaces for UV and weather protection. Shingle Defender™ is a liquid that can be applied in a variety of ways: backpack sprayer, paint roller, or paint brush.
